5 Ways to use Box Shelving

Forget your average plank shelf, and get creative with Box Shelves! Adding a little geometrical interest to any room, box shelves are efficient, playful and easy, and offer limitless storage and decorative possibilities. Box shelving can be on the floor or the walls, colourful or monochrome, decorative or functional. Anything goes so long as you have a bit of fun.

          1. Colour

Add a colour to the interior of each box, or a select few, to create further visual interest. Try contrasting or complimentary colours to really make the boxes stand out.

           2. Pattern

Adding a pattern to the back of the shelf creates a fantastic focal point, transforming a storage unit into art.

          3. Asymmetrical

While symmetrical shelving looks good, asymmetrical brings a bit of fun and spontaneity into the mix.

However, if you're all for symmetrical, why not try something a little edgy?

          4. Decorative or  Functional

Depending on the room, the amount of storage space you have and your own taste, boxes can either be used functionally or for decorative purposes. Or, sometimes both. If you're going to use box shelving as storage, make sure you don't over-do it, as overly crowded boxes full of mixed-matched items will look messy and tacky.
These boxes are being used to display trinkets and collections, with a white ornament theme throughout, creating consistency

5. Not quite a Square

Forget just squares, try triangles or octagons or circles or...

So there you have it! A unique and fresh way to decorate a room, with plenty of room for creativity. Just think outside the box

The cities, woods, marshes, punks, bands and the crazy street fashion are all part of the charm, truly making England a country of many wonders. Here's a little taste of what the U.K has to offer...
